Important Notice for Passengers Traveling to the USA: New CDC Requirements Effective 3 November 2026

Effective from 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on 3 November 2026, all passengers traveling to the United States, including U.S. citizens, will be required to present a completed attestation form prior to boarding, confirming that they have not been present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the previous 21 days.

This requirement has been introduced by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and applies to passengers traveling to the United States on international flights.

Passengers who have been present in the Democratic Republic of the Congo during the previous 21 days will not be permitted to travel to the United States. Presence includes any physical presence in the country, including airport transit through the Democratic Republic of the Congo, even if the passenger did not leave the aircraft or the airport transit area.

What do you need to do?

• Each passenger must complete and sign a separate attestation form.
• The form must be presented in printed format.
• A parent or other authorized individual may sign the form on behalf of a minor or a person unable to do so independently.
• Failure to provide the required documentation may result in denial of boarding for travel to the United States.
