Historic result for air serbia: the highest number of passengers carried in a single day

In August, traditionally the busiest month in air traffic, Air Serbia surpassed its record for the number of passengers in a single day. On Friday, 1 August 2025, more than 21,600 passengers were recorded on the flights of the Serbian national airline, which represents a strong indicator of continued growth and passenger trust.

“This year is already going down in the company’s history as the most successful, with monthly results exceeding expectations. On the day we set the record for the number of passengers carried, the most popular destinations in the region were Tivat and Podgorica, while in Western Europe they were Zurich, Paris, Barcelona, Milan, and Rome. A significant number of passengers also flew to New York and Guangzhou, which is yet another proof of the high demand for long-haul flights,” said Jiří Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

The result is a confirmation of the successful strategy of developing the flight network and increasing the number of destinations, as well as proof that Air Serbia remains committed to its mission of connecting Serbia with the world quickly, comfortably, and reliably.
