Driven by Passenger Trust: Air Serbia Sets New Record with More Than 600,000 Passengers in a Single Month

03 September 2026

Air Serbia delivered the strongest monthly performance in its history in August 2026, carrying 616,479 passengers across its scheduled and charter services. This represents a 10% increase compared with August 2025.

During August, Air Serbia operated 5,743 flights from Belgrade, Niš and Kraljevo to more than 100 destinations across Europe, the Mediterranean, North America, Asia and Africa.

“The record passenger numbers achieved in August further reinforce Air Serbia’s position as one of the fastest-growing airlines in the region. This milestone reflects the dedication of our employees, our continued focus on enhancing the passenger experience and the ongoing development of a strong route network that offers customers an ever-growing range of travel opportunities from Belgrade. Our loyalty programme also plays an important role, providing passengers with a range of benefits while rewarding their continued trust in Air Serbia. Together, our high standards of service, extensive network and benefits for our most loyal customers are helping us further strengthen our position as the region’s leading airline. These results provide additional motivation to continue raising the bar and to end 2026 with the highest annual passenger numbers in the company’s history,” said Jiří Marek, CEO of Air Serbia.

In the first eight months of 2026, Air Serbia carried 3,263,915 passengers on scheduled and charter services, its strongest-ever passenger result for the January-August period. The airline operated a total of 34,641 flights during the same period, an increase of 5% year-on-year.

The airline’s strong traffic performance was also reflected in its load factor. In August 2026, passenger load factor reached 83.6%, while the average load factor for the first eight months of the year stood at 77.1%.

Air Serbia will continue to expand its network through the end of the year, launching nonstop services from Belgrade to Tenerife, Seville and Tromsø, as well as from Niš to Vienna and Malta. The airline will also increase frequencies on routes to Montenegro in response to growing passenger demand.
