Air Serbia’s Inaugural Tenerife Flight: Canary Islands Now Directly Linked to Belgrade

With today’s flight, Air Serbia inaugurated direct service between Belgrade and Tenerife, the largest island in the Canary Islands.

Flights between Belgrade and Tenerife will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays from Belgrade, while return flights will operate on Wednesdays and Sundays. Tenerife is Air Serbia’s seventh destination in Spain, alongside Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Alicante.

“With the launch of direct flights to Tenerife, we continue to expand Air Serbia’s network in Spain, which is one of the most important and attractive tourist destinations in Europe. Strong passenger interest in this service has shown that there is clear demand for a direct link between Belgrade and the Canary Islands. Tenerife is a destination that, thanks to its pleasant year-round weather, offers opportunities to travel outside the traditional summer season, particularly during autumn and winter. We believe that the new service will be of interest to passengers from Serbia and the region, as well as to those travelling to Tenerife from other destinations in our network via Belgrade,” said Boško Rupić, General Manager, Commercial & Strategy, Air Serbia.

Tenerife is the largest island in the Canary Islands and is known for its scenic landscapes, sandy beaches, and diverse tourist offering. Teide National Park, home to Mount Teide, Spain’s highest peak, is a particular highlight. The island is also known for its black-sand beaches, whale- and dolphin-watching opportunities, numerous hiking trails, picturesque seaside locations, and attractive viewpoints. Among the most visited locations are the mountain village of Masca, Anaga Rural Park, and the city of San Cristóbal de La Laguna, whose historic centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tenerife also attracts fans of local cuisine, outdoor activities, and stargazing.

As early as 30 September, Air Serbia will further expand its network in Spain by launching direct flights between Belgrade and Seville. This will bring the total number of Spanish destinations served by the national airline from Belgrade to eight.
