This magnificent hotel was ceremoniously opened by Petar I Karađorđević in 1908. Moskva Hotel building has been under state protection since 1948 as a Cultural Monument of the City of Belgrade, and in 1979 it was designated a cultural asset of great importance.
In its history of more than a century, this historic hotel with its famous cafe has hosted over 45 million guests, including many famous names from Serbia and the world. Robert de Niro, Albert Einstein, Indira Gandhi, Luciano Pavarotti, Maxim Gorky and Alfred Hitchcock are just some of the world names that have left their mark forever, because six apartments were named after them.
The hotel was completely renovated in 2015 and, with deep respect for tradition, is fully adapted to the highest standards of technology and modern hospitality. Since 2016, Moskva Hotel has become the first member in the region of Historic Hotels Worldwide.
