Four new Air Serbia destinations in Italy in 2023

During the next summer season, Air Serbia will introduce direct flights between Belgrade and the Italian cities of Catania, Naples, Florence, and Palermo, bringing the total number of destinations of the national airline in this Mediterranean country to ten. Air Serbia plans to operate flights to new destinations in Italy twice a week, using Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. Fares are already available for purchase.

"We are continuing the trend of introducing new destinations in the summer season. Our presence in Italy will be expanded with four attractive destinations that will offer our travellers the opportunity to enjoy different types of vacations - from the unreal Dolomites and Alps in the north, through unique landscapes in Tuscany to the most beautiful beaches in the world in Sicily. This is just the beginning, you can expect more good news from Air Serbia in the coming days," said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.

Flights between Belgrade and Catania will commence on 14 April 2023, and will be operated on Mondays and Fridays, providing good connectivity, via Belgrade, between Catania and Paris, Stockholm, Dusseldorf, Istanbul, Lyon, Zurich, Berlin, Amsterdam, Oslo, Tivat, Prague, Zagreb, Podgorica, Vienna, Stuttgart, Hanover, Copenhagen and other cities. Tickets are already available for the starting price of 99 euros for one-way flights in economy class.

Catania is a city on the eastern coast of Sicily, at the foot of Mount Etna. This cosmopolitan, vibrant and eclectic city is rich with numerous cultural and historic monuments, beautiful beaches and nature reserves. The most important palace in Catania, and the symbol of baroque architecture is Palazzo Biscari.

Starting on 19 May 2023, every Monday and Friday, passengers will have the opportunity to fly to the main port city in southern Italy, Naples. It is the third biggest city in Italy, right after Rome and Milan. Its most famous landmarks are the Castel dell'Ovo and Nuovo castles, the Catholic neoclassical basilica San Francesco di Paola, the Duomo cathedral, as well as the royal palace, Palazzo Reale. In the vicinity of Naples are the Mount Vesuvius volcano, the ancient Roman city of Pompeii, and the Herculaneum archaeological site. Tickets for Naples are available at the starting price of 69 euros for one-way flights in economy class. Flights between Belgrade and Florence will commence on 20 May, 2023, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The regional capital of Tuscany, in the central part of Italy, is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and is overflowing with industry and craftsmanship, trade and culture, art and science. The most popular sites in Florence are the Duomo Cathedral, the Florence Baptistery, the Uffizi Gallery, the Bargello National Museum and the Accademia Gallery. Surrounded by rolling hills, dotted with vineyards and olive groves, Florence is filled with cobblestone streets, sophisticated palaces and museums that are home to masterpieces of the greatest Italian artists. Air Serbia will start operating flights to Palermo, the regional capital of Sicily, on 14 June, 2023, every Wednesday and Saturday. This coastal metropolis is full of colour, aroma and taste. Palermo has numerous cultural and tourist attractions, many churches, monuments and artworks.
