Er Srbija leti u Zagreb širokotrupnim avionom A330 povodom otvaranja novog aerodromskog terminala

22 March 2017

  • A330 aircraft returns to Croatian capital for first time since last year’s test-flights
  • Air travellers set to snap-up special day €59 fares to mark operational opening of terminal
  • A330 flight and terminal opening coincides with the day Air Serbia receives ATW award

Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, will deploy its wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft between Belgrade and Zagreb next Tuesday (28 March) to mark the operational opening of the new terminal building at Zagreb Airport.

The 254-seat jet, which normally operates to New York JFK, will fly into and from the Croatian capital next Tuesday morning with guests taking advantage of very special return fares for that day only, starting from €59.

The special A330 return flight takes place on the day that Air Serbia receives its 2017 Airline Market Leader award from Air Transport World in New York City.

Dane Kondić, Chief Executive Officer of Air Serbia, said: “We are pleased to mark the opening of the new terminal in Zagreb by operating our prestigious and unique A330 aircraft to the Croatian capital for that day only.

“We flew test flights to Zagreb, along with several other destinations last year, in the build-up to the launch of our New York service and so it is great to see it on Croatian ground again.

“The €59 fare will be extremely popular with guests looking to visit the new Zagreb terminal on the first day of operations and at the same time fly on our wide-body aircraft.”

The Air Serbia A330 is configured with 18 seats in business class and 236 seats in economy, with inflight entertainment systems at every seat and business class seats that recline into a fully-horizontal sleeping position.

The A330 will operate on Tuesday 28 March with JU230 departing Belgrade at 7.40am and arriving in Zagreb at 8:50am. The return flight, JU231 will depart Zagreb at 10.05am and arrive in Belgrade at 11.10am.

Tickets can be purchased by calling Air Serbia's Contact Centre 0800 111 528 (free calls within the Serbian land line and mobile network), +381 11 311 21 23 for calls from abroad, by visiting the official Air Serbia website www.airserbia.com, or by visiting any of Air Serbia's offices or authorized travel agents.
