Air Serbia Ground Services Ltd. - a ground handling agent based at Belgrade Airport Nikola Tesla - has been proudly presented with new certificates for quality, environmental and occupational health, and safety management.

Air Serbia Ground Services is the first and only such company that bases its operations in the region to be certified for its Integrated Management System (IMS).

The certificates were issued by the highly reputable SGS certification company, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. SGS are recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity.

The certificates cover work processes for ground handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, cargo and mail, and for providing special ground handling activities and freight forwarding services within air traffic.

Milan Mojovic, quality manager Air Serbia Ground Services said: "These certificates are very important for the company because they highlight our dedication to top quality and confirm that we operate according to the most vigilant world standards."

"The fact that Air Serbia is the only company in the region which has been issued with these certificates is something to be very proud of. We would like to thank the dedicated team of Air Serbia Ground Services for a project successfully done."

The certificates were issued following a supervisory audit that was conducted on the 27th of December 2013 by the SGS certification company, that included control of all documentation as well as the process of document implementation in the scope of working activities.

This audit did not come across any nonconformities as Air Serbia proved to adhere to all of the highest management system standards, and the SGS certification proceeded to extend the validity of certificates ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007.
