Air Serbia has carried a million passengers since the beginning of the year
Today, on 25 April, Air Serbia carried its one-millionth passenger in 2024. This achievement was reached by the Serbian national airline two weeks earlier compared to 2023, when it carried its millionth passenger on 8 May.
Eighth ATR 72-600 joins Air Serbia fleet
Air Serbia's eighth ATR 72-600 aircraft landed today at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport and after completing mandatory procedures, it is expected to join Air Serbia’s operations in the coming days.
Air Serbia commences direct Belgrade-Mostar service
Air Serbia has launched a direct service between Belgrade and Mostar with flight JU634. As of today, the Serbian national airline will operate flights to the city in Bosnia and Herzegovina three times a week, every Monday, Friday, and Sunday.
Air Serbia's new promotional campaign
Air Serbia has prepared a new promotional offer giving passengers the opportunity to purchase airline tickets to 17 popular destinations across Europe, for travel between 15 April and 26 October 2024. Considering the great interest in certain destinations from the Air Serbia network, observed during the previous promotional campaign, the company decided to offer a certain number of seats on specific flights to passengers at attractive prices, starting from 39 euros, one way. The promotion started today, 4 April and will last until Tuesday, 9 April 2024, and tickets can be purchased through the website, mobile application or in one of the retail shops. The number of seats at promotional prices is limited.
Air Serbia and Menzies Aviation complete the first all-electric turnaround
Air Serbia, the Serbian national airline, and the British company Menzies Aviation conducted today at Belgrade Airport, for the first time in the region, the aircraft turnaround using vehicles powered exclusively by electricity.
Air Serbia carried 36,000 more passengers in March, year-over-year
In March 2024, Air Serbia carried 271,102 passengers, which is a 15 per cent increase compared to the same month in 2023. The Serbian national airline operated 3,018 flights during March, 8 per cent more than in March 2023. This is Air Serbia’s best March result since 2013, i.e., the year when the company started operating under its current name.
From 2026 Air Serbia on New Terminal 1 of John F. Kennedy Airport in New York
Air Serbia has become the latest international airline that has committed to operating out of New York’s world-class New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport scheduled to open its doors to customers in 2026. The New Terminal One is being constructed in partnership with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey as part of the agency’s $19 billion redevelopment of JFK Airport.
Air Serbia posts profit of EUR 40.5 million in 2023
Thanks to the introduction of over 20 new destinations, a significant increase in the total number of flights and carried passengers, and efficient operations, Air Serbia achieved a record profit of EUR 40.5 million in 2023, according to preliminary results. In this way, the Serbian national airline continued its positive business trend. It practically doubled its profit compared to the previous year, both times without a single euro of state subsidies.
Air Serbia to cease cooperation with Marathon Airlines
In reference to flight JU 324 between Belgrade and Dusseldorf, operating on Sunday evening, 18 February 2024, when the Embraer E195 of partner Greek airline, Marathon Airlines, was damaged, Air Serbia immediately contacted the competent government authorities – the Civil Aviation Directorate (DCV) of the Republic of Serbia and the Center for Investigation of Accidents in Transport (CINS).
Major call for Air Serbia cabin crew announced
As part of elaborate preparations for the upcoming summer season, during which further growth in business activities is expected, Air Serbia has launched a large-scale recruitment drive for new cabin crew members for its base in Belgrade.
