Air Serbia makes record results in October
Serbia’s national airline carried over 250,000 passengers on scheduled and charter flights in October, almost twice as many as in October 2021. With 2,815 flights operated in October 2022, Air Serbia is drawing close to its results from record-setting 2019, when it performed 2,907 flights in October. Charter flights also saw a 97.6% increase in passenger numbers, compared to October 2019.
Since the start of this year, the Serbian national airline carried over 2,300,000 passengers via its Belgrade hub and the airports in Niš and Kraljevo.
"In our day-to-day operations, we are looking to provide the kind of service that will make us our passengers’ airline of choice when they travel. The results we have achieved in 2022 show that passengers enjoy flying with us. In the first ten months of the year, we carried over two million passengers, almost a million passengers more than in the same period last year. We plan to strengthen our fleet and launch new routes in the upcoming winter season, offering our passengers even greater comfort and better connectivity," said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial, and Strategy, Air Serbia.
The winter season officially started at the end of October. As announced, Air Serbia will start flying to China on 9 December. The company’s new planned destinations will also be announced soon.
