Air Serbia and Aeroflot expand codeshare partnership

Air Serbia and Aeroflot have signed an agreement to expand their existing codeshare partnership, according to which the Serbian and Russian national airlines will add each other's flight codes (marketing codes) on additional flights that were introduced on the Belgrade-Moscow route. Air Serbia is currently operating seven, and Aeroflot six flights a week between Serbian and Russian capitals.

Aeroflot will also place its marketing code on Air Serbia's flights between Belgrade and Saint Petersburg, which will be operated twice a week, starting 8 June.

In addition to restoring traffic to Krasnodar and Saint Petersburg, and introducing a new destination, Rostov-on-Don, our goal is to provide our passengers with as wide a choice and as much flexibility as possible when planning their trips. This is why we are constantly working on improving our services, adding new connectivity options and upgrading cooperation with our partners. It is our great pleasure to welcome the passengers of our partner, Aeroflot, on the flights in Air Serbia's network," said Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.

Serbia's national flag carrier also currently has marketing codes on Aeroflot's routes between Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Krasnodar, Sochi, Volgograd, Kazan, Samara, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Omsk and Istanbul, while Russia’s national airline has marketing codes on Air Serbia's flights between Belgrade and Podgorica, Tivat, Sarajevo, Tirana, Skopje, Banjaluka and Istanbul.

The plan is to continue developing the cooperation between the two airlines in the Balkans region and beyond.
