Air Serbia expects increased interest for Larnaca flights

Air Serbia will maintain the number of flights between Belgrade and Larnaca at two a week in the coming period, with a possibility of capacity increase, both in terms of aircraft upgrade or introduction of additional flights. Having in mind the announcement of the Cyprus government that citizens of Serbia will be permitted to enter Cyprus with a negative PCR test as of today, 24 September, the Serbian national airline expects more interest from passengers than it is usual for this part of the year. That is why Air Serbia will continue to operate flights to Larnaca on Saturdays and Mondays, even though the original plan was to decrease the number of flights.

"We welcome the decision of the Cyprus government, as it provides an ideal opportunity for all those who wish to use autumn for their well-deserved vacation. Having in mind that the daily temperatures in Cyprus are very pleasant, we are certain that the number of passengers who will visit this popular destination in the Mediterranean in October will increase," stated Jiri Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.

Marek added that "Air Serbia was already closely following the demand within first two days after the announcement, and decided to add additional third flight for Thursday next week with attractive day time departure, instead of night one."

Air Serbia is currently the only airline that operates flights between Serbia and the warmest island in the Mediterranean. With approximately 340 sunny days a year, Cyprus is one of the sunniest countries, in which summer lasts all the way until the middle of October, which makes it an ideal destination for vacations during this period of the year.
