Air Serbia launches Niš-Istanbul flights

Air Serbia introduced direct flights on the new route between Niš and Istanbul with the flight JU 1804 at 6.40 PM from the Constantine the Great airport. The Serbian flag carrier will operate two weekly flights on this route, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

“We are happy to have connected the south of Serbia with Istanbul, one of the most popular destinations in our network, to which we are already flying from the Belgrade airport. Turkey is an extremely important market for us and we are very pleased that by improving our offer we will contribute to strengthening commercial and tourist activities between our two countries”, said Boško Rupić, Head of Sales at Air Serbia.

Air Serbia passengers can book one-way tickets on this route at a starting price of RSD 2,478, while the lowest price of a return ticket is RSD 7,434.

As the former capital of many empires over the centuries, Istanbul today attracts millions of tourists with its timeless charm and authentic blend of East and West influences. The famous Hagia Sophia, Sultanahmet Square, Grand Bazaar, Galata Bridge and Topkapi Palace are just some of the many sights of the popular transcontinental city on the Bosporus.

In the coming days, the Serbian flag carrier will also launch scheduled flights between Niš and Belgrade, Frankfurt (Han), Cologne and Ljubljana. Additionally, seasonal flights on the routes Niš-Tivat and Niš-Athens will operate during the summer peak season. Air Serbia’s flights from Niš to the new destinations will run until December 31, 2023, pursuant to a contract awarded in a tender conducted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia for operating the routes of public interest.
