Air Serbia’s direct service to Corfu commences today
09 June 2023
With today’s flight JU744 Air Serbia commenced a seasonal service between Belgrade and Corfu. Serbian national airline will be flying to this Greek island twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
Air Serbia’s inaugural flight was welcomed at Ioannis Kapodistrias Airport, located only 3 kilometres south of the city of Corfu.
"As of today, we fly directly to Corfu or Kerkyra. Serbia has an unbreakable connection with that Greek island, as evidenced by numerous cultural and historical monuments from World War One, that still exist in Corfu today. The memory of those events is carefully preserved in the "Serbian House", a kind of museum in the city centre. Nearby is the historically significant island of Vido. If you haven't visited Corfu yet with our direct flights, you can reach it in just 75 minutes," said Boško Rupić, General Manager Commercial and Strategy, Air Serbia.
Renowned for its natural beauty, the island of Corfu has a rich multicultural heritage and crystal-clear sea. The centre of the city is adorned with the Spianada square, decorated with exceptional works of 19th century French architecture. Find a quiet spot in the narrow streets or its shaded squares, and enjoy a cold ginger beer. Make sure to visit Liston, the symbol of Corfu, where aristocrats once enjoyed their evening walks.
By adding Corfu to the network, Air Serbia offers its passengers good connections via Belgrade, to Amsterdam, Berlin, Bologna, Zurich, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Paris, Prague, Rome, Venice, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Podgorica and many other cities.
