Air Serbia vouchers for health workers
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and Air Serbia launched a campaign with the slogan "Time for a Break", providing Air Serbia’s flight vouchers with a discount for 10,000 health workers employed in the COVID-19 system. The agreement on cooperation was signed by Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lončar, and Air Serbia CEO, Duncan Naysmith, at a ceremony in the Palace of Serbia, in the presence of representatives of health institutions, doctors and nurses.
The promo vouchers provide a 50% discount on the total price of Air Serbia flight tickets, including the fare and airport fees. Vouchers apply to direct regular flights to all destinations in the Serbian national airline’s network, except New York, and can be used for travel between 1 July and 31 December 2021.
"Serbian health workers, with their work, commitment and sacrifice during the pandemic, have shown they are the true heroes of our time. We are all indebted to you for your untiring care, day and night, for more than 200,000 citizens who were hospitalized and whose lives you saved. Therefore, the state will continue to make every effort to further improve the material position of health workers, by continuously increasing their salaries and also their working conditions, by building the most modern hospitals and clinical centres and procuring the most modern medical equipment. But the Ministry of Health will also always support every initiative of socially responsible companies, such as Air Serbia, which express their gratitude to health workers with actions like this one, because they benefit health workers. That is why we would like to thank Air Serbia for their support, and we look forward to continuing our cooperation", said the Minister of Health, Zlatibor Lončar.
"It is our great pleasure to be able to express our gratitude to health workers for their everyday dedication to saving lives and the health of all citizens. Our goal is to enable them to travel to their desired destination for a well-deserved vacation. We thank the Ministry of Health for cooperation and support in the implementation of this important project," said Duncan Naysmith, CEO of Air Serbia.
The Serbian national airline’s vouchers will be distributed to the University Clinical Centre of Serbia, the clinical centres of Kragujevac, Niš and Vojvodina, clinical and hospital centres Zemun, Bežanijska kosa, Zvezdara and Dr Dragiša Mišović, COVID hospitals in Batajnica and Kruševac, and other healthcare institutions in the COVID-19 system.
Vouchers can be used when purchasing flight tickets via the Air Serbia Contact Centre, or at any of the company’s branch offices in Belgrade. When purchasing tickets with vouchers, it is necessary for the health workers to verify their identity with a certificate of employment, issued by a healthcare institution in the Ministry’s jurisdiction.
