Air Serbia marks successful first day of new check-in system at Belgrade Airport

Air Serbia has celebrated a successful first day of SabreSonic check-in operations, after the new state-of-the art technology system went online yesterday morning at Belgrade Nikola Tesla International Airport.
No operational disruption was reported as a result of the transition from the old Gaeten check-in system to the new SabreSonic check-in platform, and all guests were welcomed by airline staff serving food and refreshments.
The first flight to use the new check-in system was JU380 flight from Belgrade to London Heathrow, and check-in operated normally.
Air Serbia expects full systems migration to be fully complete on 27 February, following which the regular two hour check-in procedure for Air Serbia flights will once again come into force.
The check-in cutover operation at Belgrade airport involves hundreds of Air Serbia staff and is being supported on-site by more than 40 Etihad Airways and Sabre experts who have flown in from around the world.
In the meantime, the airline continues to advise intending Air Serbia travellers to note the following on Wednesday 26 and Thursday 27 February.
- Arrive at Belgrade airport at least three hours ahead of the scheduled flight departure time;
- Bring a printed copy of their booking confirmation and/or travel itinerary with them to the airport.
Air Serbia guests will receive complimentary refreshments on both days, and the airline looks forward to ensuring it is business as usual for all travellers.
