Air Serbia launches special fares for the new Warsaw route
Air Serbia is launching a new route between Belgrade in Serbia and Warsaw in Poland, with daily flights commencing 29 May 2014. Special fares will celebrate the occasion.
The Belgrade-Warsaw promotional fares start from 99 EUR (all taxes and fees included) and are valid for travel on and between 29 May and 25 October 2014. These special fares will be available for purchase until midnight 25 April 2014.
Dane Kondić, Air Serbia Chief Executive Officer, said: "I am thrilled to announce the re-introduction of flights between Belgrade and Warsaw after 15 years. This route between the two historic cities will no doubt be beneficial both for business and leisure passengers, as well as help to support further cooperation and development in many fields such as economy, sports and culture. In addition, this new service will also provide quality service and two-way connectivity over Belgrade between Warsaw and other destinations in the region."
The scheduling of the Friday evening flight from Warsaw to Belgrade, together with a Sunday evening return provides the ideal timing for leisure travellers to enjoy a weekend in Belgrade. The capital city is renowned for its rich culture, historical heritage and energetic night life.
Additionally, the Warsaw route provides connections via the Belgrade hub to 24 destinations; including Abu Dhabi, Larnaca, Bucharest, Istanbul, Athens, Sofia, Tel Aviv, Varna, Thessaloniki, Sarajevo, Podgorica and Skopje.
The service Into Air Serbia's Belgrade hub at Nikola Tesla Airport, has been designed to maximise connections to destinations in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Australia, with the support of equity partner Etihad Airways. Air Serbia also provides good connections year-round for guests travelling to destinations in the USA and Canada, through the support of partner airlines.
The Belgrade-Warsaw service celebrates the resumption of flights between these two cities in a period that spans 15 years since the last flight in 1999. The route enjoys a long history, with the first flight between the two cities taking place 66 years ago by the predecessor to Jat Airways, Jugoslovenski aerotransport, in 1947 and operated until 1992.
In line with the new livery and modern aircraft, the on-board service proposition has also been refreshed with new menu options, a complimentary bar service and improved inflight entertainment offering more choices for guests flying with Air Serbia.
