Air Serbia kicks off first ever global recruitment for pilots
Air Serbia, the national airline of the Republic of Serbia, is undertaking a major recruitment drive, seeking experienced pilots to join the airline.
Air Serbia is looking to employ 50 pilots to support the airline's rapidly growing network and modern fleet of aircraft. The recruitment process, comprising two assessment stages, commenced today in Belgrade.
Dane Kondić, Air Serbia Chief Executive Officer, said: "This is the first ever global recruitment program for pilots, because we have never before had to look beyond Serbia to meet our demand for pilots. Our need to employ these additional pilots comes much sooner than anticipated. We need to invest now, if we are to meet the demands of our rapidly expanding business going forward. More than 700 candidates have applied for positions. I am proud to say that amongst them are many Serbian nationals from across the world, who are keen to support the growth and development of Air Serbia. These pilots want to return to Serbia, having been inspired by the success of their national airline and are determined to play a role in helping to shape its future."
Shortlisted non-type rated candidates have been invited for a two-day assessment during which their practical knowledge and competencies based on previous professional experience, language skills and team work will be evaluated. Successful completion of the first phase of the assessment is the precondition for the simulator test, which is the final stage of assessment. Candidates with current Airbus A320 type rating will be assessed at the Training Academy of our equity partner Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Together with other current vacancies, Air Serbia continues to look for the right people to join the team, ready and willing to commit to delivering the highest standards of service to our valued guests.
