New security requirements on New York flights regarding the screening of powder-like substancesThursday, 21. June 2018.
From 26 June 2018 Air Serbia is starting with the implementation of new U.S. security requirements for screening of powder-like substances 12 ounces (approximately 350 milliliters) or larger (for example, individual containers the size of or larger than a beverage can).
The powder-like substances 12 ounces (350 milliliters) or larger are prohibited for transport in the cabin of the aircraft, except for medically prescribed powder-like substances, baby formula, human remains and duty-free powder containers inside of a properly sealed Secure Temper Evident Bag (STEB).
The powder-like substances of any quantity may be placed in checked baggage and transported in the baggage hold area of the aircraft.
Powders are described as fine dry particles produced by the grinding, crushing, or disintegration of a solid substance (for example, flour, sugar, ground coffee, spices, powdered milk (such as, baby formula), and cosmetics). Powders may also be presented in clumpy, grainy, or compressed material forms.Back
