Small gestures for big smiles: Air Serbia with children from Kraljevo
15 August 2025
Ahead of World Humanitarian Day, Air Serbia has once again demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by donating school supplies to children from the SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo. The donation includes school equipment for 39 girls and boys from socially vulnerable families attending primary school from the first to the fourth grade.
“We believe that investing in the education and future of the youngest is one of the key steps towards building a better and fairer social community. We are proud to be able to contribute to the everyday lives of children from the SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo. We have made sure to give them everything they need for school activities, so that the start of the school year will be as easy, joyful, and fulfilling as possible. Let this small gesture be an incentive for further action and an inspiration for all of us to do good,” said Milica Netković, GM People and Performance at Air Serbia.
“On behalf of the SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Air Serbia for its generous donation and for recognising the importance of investing in the future and education of our children. This noble gesture will enable numerous families and children most in need of help to step into the new school year with more joy and less worry. This donation represents more than material assistance – it is a strong message of solidarity and support,” said Biljana Zorić Dimić, director of the SOS Children’s Village in Kraljevo.
The donation of school supplies is a continuation of the successful cooperation between Air Serbia and the SOS Children’s Villages Serbia Foundation. In May this year, they carried out a joint project “My First Flight with Air Serbia – a Trip to Remember”, when 25 boys and girls from the Strengthening Families programme, together with their parents or guardians, had the opportunity to fly by plane for the first time. On the flight from Niš to Belgrade on an Airbus A319, the children experienced an unforgettable adventure, which was complemented by a visit to the Flight Operations building and Air Serbia’s hangar, where they learned about the world of aviation.
Through such initiatives, Air Serbia continues to actively contribute to the local community, with special attention focused on supporting children and their development.
